John Hancock Life Insurance Review 2016

Pros:  Financial Strength– John Hancock has an A+ (Superior) financial rating by A.M. Best (second highest of 16 possible ratings).  Stability– John Hancock has been in business for more than 150 years proving their strength and durability.  Size– John Hancock is a top ten insurer when it comes to total market share in life insurance sales.

Cons:  Their website is a little confusing, especially if you are looking for information on how or whom to speak to receive a quote.  Also, John Hancock’s rates tend to be higher than other top insurers and their underwriting can be more conservative as well.

Bottom Line:  John Hancock, owned by the Canadian insurance company Manulife Financial, is one of the largest life insurance companies in America by premiums and market share.  They also have an A+ Superior financial rating from A.M. Best.  However, when comparing their rates, they tend to be higher than other similar rated insurers on the market.  As with all the companies we review we recommend that you receive a quote from John Hancock and also from the other top insurers as choose the best one for you.
