ING (Now Voya Financial) ReliaStar Life Insurance ReviewVoya Financial Life Insurance Review 2015

Pros:  ING (Voya Financial) is one of the largest life insurance companies in America and a top five writer of term life.  VOYA also has favorable underwriting niches, such as family history of cancer, where they offer some of the lowest rates in the nation. They will typically have the lowest prices on $200,000 policies.  Also, for seniors over 60, ReliaStar offers very competitive underwriting for diabetics and blood pressure treatment.

Cons: ING no longer offers a 25 & 30-year term life policy.

Bottom Line:  ING (now Voya Financial-ReliaStar Life Insurance) is a top 5 term life insurance company with an “A” (Excellent) rating by A. M. Best.  Their parent company based in the Netherlands had similar issues that AIG did back in 2008 around the same time.  As a result, they dropped their 25 and 30 year term and also the no-lapse universal life guarantee policy.  However, ING remains one of the largest life companies in America ahead of many well-known insurers.  If you have a policy with ING you’re in good hands.  As with any time you purchase life insurance, it’s advisable to receive multiple quotes to ensure you are receiving the best deal.
